Hi, it's Colleen again.
This is the practical page — how to order, when I need notice, what happens when plans change, and how I make it right when something isn't. I wrote it in plain language so there's never a question of what to expect from me or from you. The whole point is less friction and more good food.
How to order
Four ways to get food from me. Pick the lane that fits your plan.
Walk in
Grab-and-go from the counter during open hours. No order needed. Pay at the till.
Pre-order pickup
Call, text, or email at least 24 hours ahead for a specific time and menu. Great for a lunch, a weekend of meals, or anything over four items.
Catering
Group lunch for 16+ people. Minimum 7 days notice. All catering is arranged by email — see the catering page for the full breakdown.
Delivery
Evenings, within the local zone. Same-day orders only. Details below.
Pre-orders & catering
Pre-orders and catering are how I hold my prep schedule for you. The policies below exist so that commitment runs both directions — your food is ready when I said it would be, and I know what I'm shopping for.
-
Lead time
Pre-orders need at least 24 hours' notice. Catering (group lunch for 16+ people) needs at least 7 days. For holidays, farmers' market weekends, or event-heavy stretches, more notice is always better — reach out and ask.
-
Deposit
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order. The remaining 50% is due at pickup or delivery. The deposit holds your spot in my prep schedule and covers the ingredients I'll shop specifically for your order.
-
Menu changes
You can tweak your order — add items, swap items, change notes — up to 48 hours before pickup, no charge. Changes made inside the 48-hour window incur a 20% fee on the order total, because I've already purchased ingredients and started prep.Late change fee (inside 48hr) 20% of order total
-
Date changes
Your pickup or delivery date is confirmed at the time of order. I don't accept date changes. Moving your date is treated as a cancellation, and the 50% deposit is non-refundable because the prep is already underway for the original date. If you need a different day, I'm happy to take a new order with new timing.
-
Early pickup / rush requests
If you need to pick up earlier than scheduled, call or text and ask — I'll tell you if I can make it work. Early pickup is subject to a rush fee. I'd rather say yes and reshuffle the day for you than say no; the fee just covers the hustle.Rush fee (standard orders) $25Rush fee (catering orders) $50
-
Cancellations
Cancel 72 or more hours before pickup and your deposit is fully refunded. Within 72 hours, the 50% deposit is non-refundable — the ingredients are already in the kitchen and the time is already blocked.
-
No-shows
If you don't pick up your order on the scheduled day without reaching out, the full balance is owed. I'll hold the food for 24 hours and reach out before anything is composted or donated.
Delivery
Delivery runs in the evenings, within a defined local zone. If you're ordering for same-day delivery, it works like a walk-in order — pay when you order, no deposit, satisfaction policy applies. If you're scheduling delivery for a future date, the pre-order rules above apply (50% deposit, 48-hour change window, no date changes).
If you're right on the edge of the zone or just beyond, call anyway — I'll usually try to make it work.
Making it right
The whole point of this kitchen is that you leave happy. Satisfaction isn't just a word on a sign — it's how I run.
If something isn't right with your order, please tell me directly. Call, text, email, or come back into the shop. I'll always ask for the chance to remake, correct, or replace your order before any refund is issued. This isn't about avoiding refunds — it's that a remake is almost always better than a refund, and I'd much rather fix something than fail you.
Tell me, don't just leave.
Public reviews or comments posted without reaching out directly deny me the chance to make it right — and they deny the next customer honest context. I will always respond publicly to reviews with the same care I bring to the kitchen, and I welcome honest feedback given in good faith.
If you've had a real problem, call me at 250-689-7089 or email chefcolleen@okgntogo.com. I'd much rather make it right than find out about it from a screen.
A note for regulars
If you order from me regularly, you already know how I run. The policies above are the structure — the practice is that I take care of my people. Trust goes both ways, and in a town the size of ours, that's not a slogan. It's how I stay in business and how you stay fed.
